We had a great day for the 2019 Agility Show, with some old friends and some new faces. All the dogs and handlers were amazing, and we had some fabulous courses from judge Jeff Walton.
The club had a great day at our Annual General Meeting. Lots of poodles and their people had fun having a go at Hoopers training, and many cakes were consumed.
Diane Jones and her Miniature Poodle Crumble performed at Crufts.
The Obreedience teams have made it into OUR DOGS breed notes!
“Crufts entries have now closed, but I have just heard from Patricia Wheeler that both the Toy and Standard Poodle Obreedience teams have again qualified for the Finals which is fantastic news! 26 teams have competed in heats all over the country, accumulating points at each, and it is a great achievement as our two teams were only able to make a limited number of the competitions due to the huge geographical spread. For both of them to make the Top 10 is remarkable from fewer heats. You may recall that the Toy Poodle team competed for the first time at Crufts last year and came 3rd out of 10, so let's hope everyone has a good day and brings home some more great results. Good Luck everyone, please do make sure you keep me informed of the day/timings as it would be great to be able to watch it all live.”
Poodle Obreedience teams competed at LKA, and did very well. The Toy team came second and the Standard team came fifth. Scoring was VERY close between the 6 teams.
The club held a heelwork-to-music training day, taught by Diane Jones. Everyone had a great time, poodles were very entertaining, we learned a lot, and many cakes were consumed.

The club's annual agility show went really well. We had a lovely sunny day for the show, and poodles and their handlers performed well. Many thanks to Jennie Fairweather for judging for us.
Results are available on the RESULTS page.
The Obreedience teams go from strength to strength. At Peterborough, the Standard Poodle team came 3rd, and the Toy Poodle team came 6th. Great result reflecting hard work by both teams.
Well done to Poodle Training Club small agility team - first time running together, got 4 clear rounds and came 3rd. Well done Mike and Dazz, Ange and Mitch, Mary and Ed and Tracey and Nell.
The Poodle Obreedience teams competed at Stoneleigh against 13 teams. The Toy team came 5th and the Standards came 6th. Well done to both teams!
The Toy and Standard Poodle Obreedience teams had a good day at Leicester Obreedience! The Toys came 4th and the Standards came 1st. Congratulations to hard-working handlers.
The club hosted a rally training day for poodle owners. Marie Patchell provided excellent guidance for both newbies to the sport and experienced rally handlers. Poodles provided the entertainment, as usual.
